Project Myron – Graduation

Project Myron is a first full-body motion capture virtual reality experience created by 8 students including me. Together with four companies who provided the hardware and concept, we achieved a great prototype which is shown in the trailer below.

The team of Project Myron consisted out of 8 students from Creative Media and Game Technology of the Saxion University of Applied Science Enschede. The prototype that is shown in the video is achieved in 20 weeks. Outside of the development team, there were the four companies who helped us. These companies helped either provide hardware or helped us creating the concept and planning the development.

Our team exists out of a growing number of enthusiastic and knowledgeable specialists that have a passion for Virtual Reality. What did I do?

During Project Myron I was responsible for the motion capture programming and the game play associated with the motion capture. This means I implemented the Xsens suit in the game and made sure it worked with the surroundings and the rest of the tech.

During the project we went to the FMX festival in Stuttgart where we presented Project Myron. I was a important part of this presentation.
